Update #2 for Wyatt Paul Sherwood
8.11.21
He has been expressing pee and did have a little poop, which is a step in the right direction 100%. He is still showing his sassy personality with the nurses. He likes to "help" when they are adjusting his tubes or going in to swaddle him back up.
He is very much like his father though, he likes a light blanket with his feet out so they don't get too HOTT!
They did start him up on breastmilk a bit yesterday which is helping him grow, gain weight and become a big boy. I am still not producing enough so Children's Wisconsin Hospital-Fox Valley has some pretty amazing mama's who have already donated breastmilk and he is able to use that while I still continue to try for him.
He is less bruised today! He was bruised from the birth, which is normal, and they have him on a Billy light to help with the bruising and to help prevent jaundice. With him showing less bruising, he is more comfortable to lay flatter in his bed.
We still haven't been able to determine if his eyes are blue or brown because when he opened them they are still so tiny and dark and he clasps them closed really quickly. You can for sure see the Irish in him when you look at the top of his head. It is curly and red 100%.
I can't thank the doctors, nurses and everyone that has been caring for us all during this time.

P.S. Zachery Sherwood and I will post a few pictures taken today so you will be able to see who you are praying for. Please keep in mind we would like to share him more and more as he gets better because we don't want him to just be recognized with the cords or tubes.
